Bartender

River Jordan, a native southerner with a global perspective, is a fervent advocate for the transformative power of storytelling on stage, page, and airwaves. As the author of four novels—The Gin Girl, The Messenger of Magnolia Street, Saints in Limbo, and The Miracle of Mercy Land—she weaves tales that captivate readers. Beyond fiction, River has delved into non-fiction with works like Praying for Strangers, Confessions of A Christian Mystic, and The Ancient Way. Her literary contributions extend to anthologies such as Southern Writers On Writing and Southern Sin: True Stories of the Sultry South and Women Behaving Badly. River Jordan has also left an indelible mark as the creator, producer, and host of the radio program, Clearstory, which aired from Nashville for over fifteen years. There, she engaged in insightful and entertaining conversations with award-winning and best-selling authors across genres.

River recently launched the podcast, God on the Rocks. In this unique endeavor, she assumes the role of serving as bartender in the virtual Blues and Jazz bar, located in The City by the Bay and inviting travelers to pull up a stool, order a drink, and engage in soulful conversations about their passions.
